Manajemen Program Ekstrakurikuler Basket dalam meningkatkan Prestasi Non-Akademik Siswa: Studi Kasus Komparatif Berbasis PDCA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis manajemen program ekstrakurikuler basket dalam meningkatkan prestasi non-akademik siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah dan SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus komparatif berbasis Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi terhadap wakil kepala sekolah, pelatih, guru olahraga, dan siswa yang terlibat dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler basket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bandung memiliki pengelolaan program yang lebih sistematis dibandingkan SMA Negeri 1 Baleendah, terutama dalam aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan latihan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut program. Pengelolaan yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan kedisiplinan, kerja sama tim, kepemimpinan, komunikasi interpersonal, dan motivasi berprestasi siswa. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan ekstrakurikuler basket tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh fasilitas dan sumber daya sekolah, tetapi juga oleh kualitas manajemen program, keterlibatan siswa, budaya evaluasi, dan kemampuan sekolah dalam melakukan perbaikan berkelanjutan. Temuan penelitian memperkuat perspektif Positive Youth Development through Sport yang menempatkan olahraga sekolah sebagai media strategis dalam pengembangan karakter dan life skills peserta didik.
