Abstract

Perubahan paradigma pendidikan di era digital menempatkan Learning Management Systems (LMS) sebagai instrumen strategis dalam mendukung pembelajaran. Namun, efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh perspektif guru sebagai pelaku utama di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perspektif guru mengenai peran LMS dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) di Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, melibatkan 16 guru dari empat SMK (dua negeri dan dua swasta) yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling dengan kriteria pengalaman penggunaan LMS minimal satu tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi terhadap praktik pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan LMS, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan wawancara mendalam untuk memperkaya pemahaman tentang persepsi guru. Analisis data dilakukan secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola pengalaman dan pandangan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memandang LMS berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran melalui perencanaan yang lebih terstruktur, penyediaan materi yang mudah diakses, transparansi evaluasi, serta peningkatan interaksi dengan siswa. Meski demikian, keterbatasan infrastruktur digital dan variasi kompetensi teknologi guru masih menjadi kendala signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perspektif guru menegaskan pentingnya dukungan berkelanjutan berupa peningkatan kapasitas digital pendidik dan kebijakan pendidikan yang konsisten agar pemanfaatan LMS benar-benar optimal dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran vokasi.
