Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini menganalisis strategi retorika Ridwan Kamil (RK) dalam Debat Perdana Pilkada Jakarta 2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah analisis retorika yang didukung studi pustaka berdasarkan transkrip dan publikasi video Debat Perdana Pilkada Jakarta 2024 dari kanal Youtube Narasi Newsroom. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis yang memperkenalkan model analisis multidimensi yang mengintegrasikan teori retorika Aristoteles, lima kanon retorika, dan lima metode persuasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa RK secara strategis mengedepankan pembangunan kredibilitas (ethos) melalui rekam jejak dan karakter moralnya, dibandingkan dengan penggunaan daya tarik emosional (pathos) dan argumentasi logis (logos). RK juga secara terampil menerapkan lima kanon retorika (penemuan, pengaturan, gaya, penyampaian, ingatan) dan lima metode persuasi (partisipasi, asosiasi, ganjaran, perangkat pemikat, teknik pengalihan (red-herring) untuk menyusun pesan dan meningkatkan pelibatan audiens. Secara keseluruhan, teori retorika klasik tetap sangat relevan dalam komunikasi politik era digital saat ini dan RK mampu menunjukkan kemampuannya sebagai orator persuasif yang andal. Penelitian ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan kajian akademik di bidang komunikasi politik serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi kandidat politik dan penyelenggaraan debat dalam merancang strategi persuasif multidimensi yang efektif terhadap audiens yang heterogen.
