Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor keberagaman demografi pada kelompok dewan direksi terhadap perilaku berisiko perbankan di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode Differences-In-Differences dan melibatkan 47 bank selama periode 2010-2023, studi ini menemukan bahwa penurunan rata-rata usia anggota dewan direksi secara signifikan meningkatkan perilaku berisiko perbankan. Sejalan dengan itu, meningkatnya representasi eksekutif perempuan dalam komposisi dewan direksi berkontribusi terhadap menurunnya perilaku berisiko perbankan. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa keberadaan perempuan di dewan bukan sekadar simbolik, melainkan memiliki dampak nyata. Di antara variabel kontrol, studi ini menemukan bahwa total aset dan rasio kecukupan modal yang lebih tinggi secara konsisten berkorelasi negatif terhadap risiko portofolio dalam semua regresi. Koefisien pertumbuhan PDB yang positif dan signifikan dalam beberapa regresi menunjukkan bahwa risiko portofolio cenderung bergerak secara pro-siklus.
