Peran Regulasi Emosi Sebagai Mediator Hubungan Antara Depresi dan Kualitas Hidup Mantan Pecandu Alkohol

Melewati proses menjadi mantan pecandu alkohol tidaklah mudah terutama bagi mereka yang sebelumnya adalah pecandu berat alkohol. Banyaknya pengaruh baik secara fisik dan juga secara psikologi yang akan dialami oleh para mantan pecandu alkohol jika mereka ingin mengurangi atau berhenti mengonsumsi alkohol tersebut. Pengaruh secara psikologis yang mungkin dapat dialami selama proses tersebut sangat berkaitan dengan emosi yang akan berkaitan dengan stress, kecemasan dan juga depresi. Hal yang paling dihindari oleh mantan pecandu alkohol adalah relapse untuk kembali mengonsumsi alkohol kembali. Kekhawatiran relapse ini pun menjadi salah satu pemicu para mantan pecandu alkohol mengalami depresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran regulasi emosi sebagai mediator terhadap hubungan antara depresi dan kualitas hidup pada mantan pecandu alkohol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan kuantitatif korelasional yang melihatkan 150 mantan pecandu alkohol dengan rentang usia 20-40 tahun. Pengumpulan data diukur dengan menggunakan Beck’s Depression Inventory (BDI; Beck et al., 1961), Cognitive Regulation Question (CERQ; Garnefski et al., 2001) dan Quality of Life Scale (WHOQOL) dari WHO (TH). Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan menggunakan PROCESS versi 4.2 SPSS yang menguji peran regulasi emosi sebagai mediator pada hubungan antara depresi dan kualitas hidup. Terdapat 3 hasil analisis yang ditemukan yaitu (1) diketahui bahwa adanya direct effect yang signifikan antara depresi (X) dan kualitas hidup (Y) dengan dengan nilai ? = -0.5985, LLCI -0.7651 dan nilai ULCI -0.4318. (2) Hasil indirect effect mendapatkan hasil bahwa tidak ditemukan effect yang signifikan dengan nilai dengan nilai ? = -0.0052, LLCI -0.569 dan nilai ULCI 0.54, dan (3) Hasil mediasi indirect effect dari regulasi emosi maladaptif (M) ditemukan bahwa nilai ? = -0.0698, BootLLCI -0.254 dan nilai ULCI 0.1755, maka berdasarkan hasil ini dapat digambarkan regulasi emosi dimensi maladaptif (M) tidak memediasi depresi (X) dan kualitas hidup (Y).
